Installing side blinkers

I found side blinkers to be too much of a good thing, especially on our roads. If there's a vehicle to your left, for instance, and you cannot see their tail light, you won't even know they are signaling their intention to switch lanes.

I'm considering installing side blinkers on both the Grand Marquis and the ES as a safety measure. I've found a JDM kit for the ES, where the side blinkers are mounted to your door mirror caps. But I'm still looking for one to fit the Marquis.

If I can find one like those fitted to high end Suburban/Tahoe/Yukons for instance, where there's a red coloured, pointed arrow on the mirror glass, I'd be delighted. Does anybody happen to know who GM's supplier is for these and whether or not they sell to non-corporate buyers? Thanks!

Believe side marker blinkers are required in parts of europe. Sometimes you'll find a badge on the rear of the driver's fenders where those blinkers would go. If you're lucky the wiring is already there.
