My dad gave me an old yard man walk behind mower he had in his shed. I attempted an oil change today. After turning the mower on its side to drain the oil in the nearby stream (just kidding, I had an oil pan) the mower only took about 1/4 quart of fresh oil. The dipstick says the level is correct, but seems like the mower should have taken more oil. Also, I couldn't find any info on the mower about grade of oil, so I went with 10w30 I had on hand.

Oh, and I have a couple gallons of mixed fuel for the snow blower left over. Any harm in running it through my lawnmower to get rid of it?

There should be a drain plug in which a 3/8 ratchet and small extention fits into the bottom of the engine. Use regular gas and straight 30 wt. oil in the future.
