Would the flow rate differ greatly between these two filters?

The Amsoil has less resistance to flow . But most important is the Amsoil is a long life filter for extended oil change intervals. Remember the air filter and the intake plumbing seal is more important to long engine life than the choice of an oil filter.

If they do, it's probably small. Most oil filters if compared at the same flow volume only differ by a couple of PSI pressure drop across the media with hot oil. With cold oil, it might be up to 5 PSI difference.
