had to add my comment,hehehe

So no other oil would have made the grade so to say? Just think what Amsoil would do. Teagues boats wouldn't win with out Amsoil. There isn't any thing dumber than the mass consumer.

As a matter of fact Shell.Elf, and many others do like testing. In the middle 90s Chevron tested Delo in some type of Indy type car series. Also the majors and add companies test with commercial engines as well.

If that's a "Corvette" then Santa Claus is real...Those cars are built by Pratt&Miller and the only thing "Corvette" on them is the name badge....

Actually, the new GT2 car has a rather large amount of stock Corvette pieces on it, and the race engines are built by GM at the plant that builds the Z06 and ZR1 engines.

...and I believe, even for the C5/6R GT1 cars, that at least the center 'spine' of the C5/6 street cars had to be used to comply with the ALMS/IMSA rules?

The Pratt&Miller cars are much less production based than the competitors cars in ALMS GT2...ALMS gives them a break just to spice things up and show a variety of makes...IMHO it does GM a disservice as it weakens the brand in the long run...They should make a "Corvette" race car from a Corvette just as Porsche and Ferrari do with their production based race cars.

That's funny. Have you seen a ALMS GT2 spec F430? They are every bit as dolled up as the 'vettes with about the same level of input from Ferrari that GM gives P&M. Less in some cases.

That's what clubracing is for. The last thing I need is for Jan Magnussen to show up for NASA TT in a "production" C6R, lol.

No. Probably one of their racing oils. Could be custom blend. However, Johnny was at Daytona and a lot of teams do use the off the shelf Mobil 1.
