Great motors (SVs & TLs) and great oil. Just shows that high quality Grp II and regular oil changes are all you need EVEN in a high output engine.

Imagine what this oil would do for a low-RPM, non-shared trans, dry-sump, roller-bearing crank & valvetrain, air-cooled, V-Twin made in the US?
 
I have the same bike and have been on the TL board for years. He is a good guy and ran that bike hard. He changed the oil every 1500 miles and it should have been the old formula IIRC so keep that in mind.

The output shaft bearing that failed was upsized on the 1998 year bike which is what I have. It has 70,000 miles on it running cheap (well it WAS cheap when I was using it) dino Suzuki oil for most of its life. The last year or two I've been running Brad Penn 10/40 motorcycle oil.
