Who Makes Motorcraft Oil Filters?

Purolator, but to Ford specs and supposedly Motorcraft filters runs down a different line that gets periodic inspection by Ford.
 
no, they are made to different specs..

for instance some have different drainback valves and bypass locations.

Some even think that the media is similar to the PureOne, but never seen anything to verify that.

Hard to say ... it's difficult to get accurate beta ratio info on Motorcraft filters. I emailed Ford yesterday asking them if they have beta ratio numbers on their oil filters. Will see if I get any kind of response.
 
Yes, Purolator, now German owned. Made by doesn't mean the same as. You think you can get a Royal Purple or M1 for an ST price? Note, not all ST's are Ecore.
