No...The oil gets changed out every 5K to 5500 miles.... Usually the 5w20 Motorcraft Blend....Don't really see a need for a UOA.....Oil comes out a nice dark amber.

70% GC 0w30, 30% M1 5w20 EP

Whatever Bosch filter fitted that car

That would be a Bosch 3312.

'02 Toyota Corolla (*Recent Change @ ~ 140K Miles) Castrol Edge 5W-30 & Purolator PureOne Filter.

Drained previous Valvoline MaxLife 5W-30(mostly) ...last 2k miles had to top off with Motorcraft SynBlend 5W-30 ...then last 1k put in 1/2 Qt of Rotella T 5W-40 ...I believe the Rotella helped clean out a lot of sludge from my car ...ran Valvoline M/L for 6500 miles ...and oil came out very dark but the dip stick was like light brown ....now my oil is so clear I can barely tell the level of my oil ....I have enough CE 5W-30 for the next three oil changes ....sooo I'm hoping my car gets improved performance and gas mileage, plus minimize the amount of sludge these '02 Corollas can build up ....

For how man OCI's have you been doing this???

Every oil change, regardless of vehicle, is Rotella Syn 5W40 and a Napa Gold filter. Every 5K miles.

So what's the color of your oil for both vehicles after 5k miles?

All I have to say is you must take good care of your Corolla to use AMSOIL ....the guys at Advance were giving me a hard time for using synthetic in my '02 Corolla but I consider it's best for so many reasons including manufacturer recommendations after that whole sludge debacle.

Quote:
Installed Mobil 1 M1-104 oil filter and used 1 quart of Mobil 1 10W-30 Extended Performance, 1 quart Mobil 1 10W-30, 1 quart Quaker State Torque Power 5W-30, 1 quart Super Tech 5W-30 synthetic, 1 quart Valvoline Synpower 5W-30 synthetic, and 1 quart Motorcraft 5W-20 synthetic blend.

This is one heck of a "long-island" mix of oils ...never heard of this before ...I wonder what the VOA & UOA would look like ....

1994 LS400 240k + miles
Out: Free Peak 10W30 + Bosch filter
In: Free Peak 5W30 + Free Proline filter

Next month will change oil+filter for 2004 S2000, probably will use M1 bought 5-6 years ago at Pep Boys with BOGO calendar's coupons

The engine in your Corolla is NOT a sludge engine. Not even close.
