Got an 08 Dodge truck in the shop and the customer wants me to change the fluid in it. Calls for As69Rc fluid.....Something new to me.

Only place I have found it is from the dealer for $10.00 a qt.

Is there anything thats compatable?

It's in a tow truck. My boss took it in not wanting to turn it down when we are slow.

He was shocked at the $10 a qt price for the fluid from the dealer. He was trying to get me to put Dex3 in it untill I explained how we would be responsible for any damage done by the wrong fluid.

I called every auto parts place around and both lube suppliers and nobody had the correct fluid except the dealer.

Dealer did not have a filter or gasket for it and the Napa guy couldn't find one in his book either.

So It just got a drain and fill. Better than nothin I guess.

If the AS68RC is a Aisin-AW product, and if it's newer you could use Toyota ATF-WS if Mopar calls for a low-viscosity ATF other it's Toyota Type T-IV.

It is its own recommendation.

GM PN 97779615
Isuzu PN 2-90531-200-0

This is a heavy duty transmission. As such, we don't know if it is something simple as T-IV or something archaic like DexronII.

But, most here know that I wouldn't use the 'factory fill'.
