My current 20l pail of Unirex EP1 Moly is almost empty and I have to buy another pail. The grease is for chassis lubing, including U-joints, on class 7 trucks.

The greases available from the suppliers I normally deal with are
Unirex EP 1 and 2, Moly and non-Moly at about $96Cdn.
Alvania EP 1 and 2, Moly and non-Moly, at about $84
Valvoline MultiPurpose EP2, at $106. I believe this is GM recommended grease.
Castrol Pyroplex, at about $120.

I have been using EP1 because of cooler temperatures in Canada.

Do Moly greases work well with U-joints? The concern here is with "sliding vs rolling"? I really don't want to use a different grease on the U-joints than the one I use on the rest of the chassis.

So, EP1 or 2? Moly or non-Moly?

Use a Moly fortified grease 5%,it'll work GREAT for the chassis, ball joints and work fine for U joints too,it's the best grease for that apllication.

I use Schaeffers #238

Thanks, Daman. I cannot get Schaeffers in Toronto locally, so I think I will stay with what I have been using, which is Mobil Unirex EP1 Moly.

You can get small Schaeffers orders on line through a web site i have for a good price PM me if you want it to check it out. No one else will deal with you if your not buying 10,000 dollers in product so i buy all my Schaeffers through there.

but yea as long as it's moly fortifyed your good to go cant get much better then that.
