Hello fellow Canucks!

I am trying to locate an auto parts place in Western Canada which sells MMO.

When I ask for it, people either look at me like I'm from Mars, or they sadly say they do not carry it and do not know of any place which does.

So, where can we get a hold of this stuff?

Thanks!

Yes, I have checked since that is where I buy my GC and M1 from.

They do not have it.

They used to sell it at Canadian Tire, but don't anymore.

I haven't seen it ANYWHERE else. Don't think you're gonna find it.

So, we are relegated to using Rislone then?

I'll have to ask my WoW buddy, he lives up in Canada, can't remember where exactly but we did have a discussion abot MMO. he said the smaller 1qt and pint bottles are no longer offered but they do sell it by the gallon. I'll ask him tonight while im on wow and see where its available. Could also contact MMO directly and ask for local distributor/resellers.

I was able to find MMO in True Value co-op stores, but you have to call around, as not all of them carry MMO. Here is the one that had MMO in quart bottles few months ago:

Peel Seed Co-Op True Value BRAMPTON, ON 10064 Hurontario Street
L7A 0E4 905 846 2211 or fax: 905 846 2217

And the link to find stores near you;

http://www.truevalue.ca/pls/truserv_pub/truserv.store_loc_proc1

I still buy MMO in US as I usually go there at least once a year and MMO is much cheaper there, we have to pay around $8 a quart.

I'm confused by seeing this, again, in recent memory.

The last time I looked around Canadian Tire for it, it was right there on the shelf and it wasn't all that long ago (mid-summer?)

Next time I'm in I'll swing by and see if it's not being carried any more.

Personally, I use 'Wynn's Engine Tune-Up', in the small blue can. Much, much cheaper, and seems to work well at doing a bit of cleaning/thinning. I have it in my Cavalier for winter right now.

Just called them. Not available in Canada. Why, I asked? Not CSA approved.

So you can blame the government, I guess, or like in the South Park movie, 'Blame Canada, blame Canada...'

Oddly, it used to be available at Canadian Tire...

Yet another reason to become the 51st state.

Thanks for confirming that. I thought maybe it was still available, just 'most' stores didn't carry it....

But no use looking for it now.....

So it's time to set up the BITOG smuggling ring. Just need to find something that we'd want from Canada and then fill up with MMO for the backhaul. hehe
