How often do you replace spark plug wires?

If they weren't developing high resistant, corroded or some other problem you probably won't see much of any gain. It might run a tad smoother. I guess you'll have wires that are newer and less likely to fail if nothing else.

Well, I have the original fuel in the original tank! So there!!

I've had outright wire failures quite a few times. I keep stuff so long that I miss a few evolutions on things ...like different quality level of wires (that one was awhile back).

I continually check my fuel economy every tank. Reset the trip odometer every time. If the fuel economy stays steady ..within a narrow +/- range ..then it all comes down to drivability issues. Notice a few changes in cold performance ..run some fuel system cleaner ..if it lingers, change out the tune up parts. I've done 30k plug and 60k rotor/cap and never seen the difference. Wires if I rip one or a failure.
