Oil Temperature dipstick?

Anyone know where to buy dipstick thermometer for 1983 Honda VT750C?

How about using an infrared thermometer? It will read the temperature of any part of the engine you aim it at. That's what I use when tuning my old air cooled Yamaha RDs.

Chances are that your crank case/transmission will be very close to the same temperature as the oil.

I guess that will have to do til I get the temp gauge working.

Just don't want to ride til I make sure it is not running hot!

Just changed the oil over to Shell Rottela, next I will clean and service the cooling system.
