Maybe the gas station you go to puts regular in the premium tanks there was a lot of that going around last year a number of stations around here in N.J. were caught doing that...I have never used conoco fuels (i dont think they sell them here in north Jersey but i do use their oils (especially motorcraft 5w20 in all my ford modular engines, good stuff

BP produces American crude 2:1 over the next closest competitor. Plus you are guaranteed their fuel when you buy their premium. Only company to have their own pipeline.

Most interesting!!
I like that note about the Yukos company - "However, the Russian government have regained control of the company and sent its former boss, Mikhail Khodorkovsky, to a prison camp in Siberia."

Not surprising at all, he moved out of just running the oil company to butting heads with the kremlin aka Gazprom.

The kremlin has been pretty clear about trying to consolidate the entire russian oil sector into Gazprom or sometimes Rosneft. They allow favored oligarch's to keep some oil assets, but that could change on a moments notice, and the oligarch's know this.

The western companies are finally learning that Russia doesn't mind them investing in drilling, so long as they leave the E&P work to Gazprom. As Shell discovered in Shakhalin Island. And BP with TK-BNP etc.

Not that I use their oil (anymore) or their fuel.
I would like to get the German Shell V-Power Racing 100 fuel.
My car runs very well on it.

We have it at the bowser, seems to use the ethanol to jump it from 98RON

I try to buy American, but it's not always possible. If you're not going to buy Shell gas because it's not American owned, I guess anything from Conoco-Phillips would be good...it gets a top-tier rating for gasoline, just like Shell.

Well I guess there's always Valvoline and I forget what the gas is they market. I think Speedway around me.

The thing is they all share the same base gasoline. Since there's no chevron/texaco/philips66 stations around me, I have to go to Shell for top tier. I wouldn't run anything else in my tank. Since I use shell gas I figured it only makes sense to use their motor oil too. It helps that their motor oil happens to be good too.
