Current Engine Oil Specs By All Car Manufacturers

I updated Lamborghini and Lotus as suggested by hpichris, and added some detail on VW/AUDI. Hope it helps.


Acura (see Honda): API, HTO-06

AM General: API

Audi (see VW):
Petrol: VW 502.xx/503.xx/504.xx, Diesel: VW 505.xx/506.xx/507.xx
1st generation engine oil: VW 502.xx/VW 505.xx (2.9 < HTHS < 3.4; cuurently rated as "high lubricity engine oil")
2nd generation engine oil: VW 503.xx/VW 506.xx (2007+ models; Interim - superceeded by VW 504.xx/VW 507.xx)
3rd generation engine oil: VW 504.xx/VW 507.xx (3.5 < HTHS < 3.59, Low SAPS; all 2008+ models particularly FSI engine; Currnetly rated as "LongLife Engine Oil"; compatible with VW 502.xx/505.xx)
Additional note: VW504.00/507.00 provides excellent protection against Wear, Piston deposits, Oxidative thickening, sludge; Fair protection against soot thickening; Low SAPS. Suitable for all models except Touareg R5 2.5 TDi and Touareg V10 5.0 TDi which require VW 506.01.

High Performance Synthetic Oil part No 07 51 0 017 866 or
equivalent. Refer to engine compartment oil change decal. 1. M5, Z8 (S62 Engine) produced From 3/2000.BMW High
performance synthetic oil SAE 5W-30 part no. 07 51 0 017 866
or BMW high performance synthetic oil Castrol RS 10W-60 also
called Castrol TWS Motorsport SAE 10W-60 Synthetic oil part
no. 07 51 0 009 420 are recommended..
2. M5, Z8 (S62 Engine) produced From 3/2000.BMW High
performance synthetic oil SAE 5W-30 part no. 07 51 0 017 866
or BMW high performance synthetic oil Castrol RS 10W-60 also
called Castrol TWS Motorsport SAE 10W-60 Synthetic oil part
no. 07 51 0 009 420 are recommended..

BMW LL-98, LL-01, LL-01 FE (fuel efficient?), and LL-04 (Low SAPS).
Additional notes: BMW LL-04 provide decently good protection against Wear, piston deposits, oxidative thicken, sludge, and soot thickening; Low SAPS; HTHS >= 3.5 for all except LL-01 FE.

Audi R8 uses detuned V10 engine from Lamborghini Gallardo. Audi R8 is specifying VW504.00/507.00 compliance oil for its engine. Could Lamborghini Gallardo be using the same oil specificaton? (Given that Lamborghini is part of Audi AG).
 
Bentley: Mobil 1 0w40 all models.

Rolls-Royce: Castrol Edge 0w30 all models.
