LOL - No, it had rained so much and the water level was so high AND a lot ROUGHER than we expected ... we survived, no one cracked any skulls on rocks, but it was a bit rough.

Yeah, this is my 2nd time; the 1st time I was in the front, despite it being my 1st time ... it wasn't pretty.
and this time i just pretended I have never done it before, so i was able to be in the back, which isn't easy either - the middle rows are the safest

Nice! I did WWR once on the Delaware River (somewhere on the border of NY and PA. It was fun. Gotta do it again at some point since it was more than 10 years ago.

Interesting - in the second picture, it looks like the water level in that lake is really low. Then I noticed the date on the pic = 9/19/09. You guys got drenched down there last week; I wonder what the water level in that lake is now?

That's the Nantahala river; Yeah it rained the WHOLE time - never been so wet in my life!
at places where there's a lot rocks, it looks like water level is low ...

hehe Thanks;
- well I will be out of college next yr (pharmacy school), but i work part time at a hospital as a pharmacy tech.

wifey is a pharmacist, and has 1 main job and 2 part time (on call/relief type) jobs - but she works 4 ten hr days, so on wk-ends, we TRY to find some things to do and travel as much as we can, and do some simple things with friends, we try to be very economical in doing such things, though...

I think we can do these little trips because we don't spend a lot of money on other stuff ...(we hardly eat out, both our cars are paid off, don't have kids, and we save diligently)

Glad you folks had a good time; I've only been once myself, but everybody had a blast.

In 93 I was tossed overboard in the Colorado up stream of Glenwood Springs in late September. Yikes it was cold.
