Cartridge Filter - AVB valve ?

Hey Guys,

I was just looking at my Cartridge Filter mount ... There is no ADVB valve or anything like this

I converted my Mazda 3 to SPIN ON - and all spin on filters include ADVB valve ..

You don't need it since the filter on you engine, like my Focus and Fusion, are verticle. Oil can't drain back.

Yes right, Im just worried Because there was no Advb .. and now there is I'm worried about restricted flow ... by ADVB

I don't see that as a problem. My 07 Focus is the same set up only it comes with the spin on from the factory.I've been using the M1 filter on it.

Not all spin on filter have ADBVs

My Ecotec with a cartridge has a built in ADBV. The small O-ring blocks a passageway around it until you remove the filter. When you do, it releases the oil above it.
