Ducati Owners. What oil are you using?

Depends which Ducati you are talking about. I have a bevel-drive 860 and I use Motul 20w-50. Ducatistas know what bevel-drives are, hopefully.

I would think that the newer air-cooled and liquid-cooled bikes need different oils.

I currently am running M1 15w-50 in my '93 900SS and I am pleased with the performance and am confident that this lubricant will give good protection. As a bonus, it is universally available at a good price.

I am sure the Motul and Agip oils will also provide excellent service. Ducati engines and transmissions share the same oil and as a rule run dry clutches except for a very few of the new models.

Here is a link that will probably provide you with all the reading you care to do on the subject of Ducati's and motor oil:

Go here and search for oil.....and wear your flame proof underwear.
