Boeing 737/P8 Poseidon: Ident the Feature?

Apparently Boeing IDS won an India contract to deliver 8 of these plus 8 options. That would make India for the first International launch customer after the US Navy. A 737 Armed with Harpoons how neat is that?

Anyway what is the "UARRSI" on the nose section of the aircraft? Is it a sensor of some sort .... or an in flight refueling receptacle?

Word is the Aussie's may purchase a few to keep an eye on thier mega-coastlines and snooping Chinese SSBNs.
 
Aussies will buy anything that we don't need (or our superiors tell us).

M1 Tanks that won't fit through the tunnels between Sydney and the rest of the country. Super hornets that need refueling to get back from Indonesia (supposedly our most likely fight).

The superhornets was funny on a current affairs show. Had 2 retired generals, one pretending to be Indonesia, one Oz, in a wargame.

Indo planes heading for Oz, Oz planes scrambled. Indo planes partially engaged, while the remainder hightailed it for Darwin (apparently).

Indo planes then turned and started heading back to Indonesia flat bickies. Former General playing Indo said something to the effect "your planes are dead".

Had skipped around them and torched the tankers.

shannow... we'd be stuffed if anyone had a real go at us. there's no way we can protect ourselves practically.

A few (36 or so) F-22s may help much more than the "vaunted" F-18E/F. Screw the price per plane. What's your country worth these days?

Oh, wait. I forgot! No exports. Not to our Oz friends, not to Japan. In fact, let's just shut down the whole bloody production line in favor of the "way too vaunted" F-35!

Yep, The P-8 is a real nice upgrade from the much beloved (deservingly) P-3 Orion.
