Though I had more close calls than I care to remember, I never had to take the rocket ride myself (one war story, and a compressed spine, that I can do without...).
But I sure wanted that rocket seat to be perfect and as overbuilt as possible just in case I ever did need to pull the handle.
So, which would you rather stake your life on -- a FRAM ejection seat, or one that's built to the hilt? Oh, and you can get "built to the hilt" for the same money as the just-good-enough FRAM.
So, if it was your life instead of just your engine, which would it be???????
