profit before quality.
Mobil 1 advertising budget is in the mutiple millions.
Amsoil does not blow cash advertising as Mobil does.
I have used Mobil, Redline,Royal Purple. none of these companies offer the value and quality of car products Amsoil offers.
Superior Oil, Superior Air Filters and Oil filters.
why experiment with profit foreign based oil companies?
the fuel savings alone beat out all the competitors.
mobil 1 didn't want to go against the car manufactures while the cars were under warranty

nice addition. if you follow the recommendations like you are supossed to you will get great results. Falling under the severe service category and going 50K on the oil, well whose fault is that?

I waited 5 years using AMSOIL before I strated mouthing off about how good it is.
If I have a great dinner at a Italian restaurunt and I mention it to a buddy and he implies I never ate there who has the problem?

my 2 cents...yes Amsoil makes some really good oil BUT

I do think Mobil 1 EP and ESP line of oils can compete well with Amsoil....and also the Castrol Edge!

They make their money by selling oil, the more frequent we change our oil the more money in their pocket!

Hence it is not in their interest to force people to extend OCI rather they are saying that it is up to u and if u chose to u can for sure run our for 15k miles (EP) etc!

My cousins in States love Mobil 1 EP and stock on it whenever they can find it on sales....they all do extended (15K+ miles) OCI's...and have no issues till date!

Most of the major formulators are going to give you a state of the art formulation.

I've had reliable sources have tell me that many small blenders put together very "average" synthetics. This was based on tearaparts of other branded oils.

what is your idea of a reliable source? and what is your opinion of a small blender? Average synthetis are inferior to a premium mineral oil?
