I would like to find an equivalent oil filter for a 25HP Kawasaki engine. It is on a Gravely 252 zero-turn mower and has a Gravely P/N of 21535800.
I believe that a Napa 21394 will work but would like to know if someone can verify this....or if someone has another equivalent.

Thanks

Hazmat,

The WIX (NAPA) site is very weak regarding Gravely cross references, as is my WIX catalog.

I know the 1394 is a very common Kawasaki filter (#49065-2078) at least through the 23hp size. Not sure above that.

If you go to the Kawasaki engine site: http://www.kawpowr.com/ and can navigate through their awkward links, you should be able to come up with a Kawasaki oil filter part number for your specific engine and then cross reference that on the WIX site here:

http://www.wixfilters.com/

Good luck.

Just like 90% of OPE engines, a Wix 51516 or color of your choice is all you need (Motorcraft FL400, etc...) Again, another 3/4-16 thread w/ a gasket OD of ~2.734".

Lets see what I can add:

1) Super Tech ST3600
2) Fram PH3600
3) Purolator 20195
4) Amsoil EAO34

Just a note - the Kaw engines typically use a slightly different gasket I.D./O.D. than those mentioned.

From motorcity's quote in this thread -
Kawasaki 3/4" X 16 threads Gasket 2.475"OD 2.173"ID 0.233" thick.
Length" Wix Purolator Hastings Baldwin AC MotorCraft JD Walmart
2.98" 51394 L14476 LF410 B33 PF1233 FL836 AM107423 ST4967
3.4" 51396 L14477 LF413 B37 NA NA NA ST4386

There's probably enough tolerance that it wouldn't matter, BUT, I'd check to make sure you're getting a good gasket seal.
