Hi,I recently just got transfered overhere in Italy and took my 2007 Fatboy with me. I'm ready to do an oil change, but undecided on what oil to use. I'm undecided between the Motul 7100 20W50, or the Valvoline Durablend 20W50 for Motorcycles. The Motul is rated SL, while the Valvoline is SG. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Either one would do fine. If it were me, I'd probably go with the Valvoline.

Thanks for your input. I think I will go for Valvoline. I'm not convinced with "ester" based oils.
I agree with G-Man.
Go to the "New HD twin cam 96 What oil?" thread. It all applies to your bike as well. I have no problem with ester based oil especially in an air cooled engine. Never used Motul or know anyone that has but it has a good reputation as far as I know.
