I replaced the plugs with Denso Iridiums, and the wires with Borg Warner Select wires. What a difference. After careful eximination of the plugs under a mag. glass and after I mixed them up, one plug had a tiny bridge between the ground electrode and the insulator about 3/32 from the tip of the insulator. I suspect this came out of the miss firing #2 cylinder. Measuring the wires with an ohm meter all were around 400 except one which was open when tested at the plug snap connector, but conducted when tested at the core wire. I guess the wire had to arc to the plug to fire it. With the new plugs and wires this thing almost got rid of its rough idle (present since new) and has much better acceleration. All new wires were around 500 ohms.
