LOL!!!
My wife and I were in bed by 11:30pm. We kept laughing at ourselves at how awful 2008 was, yet it was the best year of our lives:
--A good friend died of cancer
--sister in law had cancer, going thru chemo now
--ACL surgery on my knee near Memorial Day
--trans gave up on my 'new' 01 Saturn
--a $50 power steering repair turned into $800 as the alternator was wasted due to a faulty p/s pump
--threw my back out on the day we were supposed to camp out that the Boy Scouts yearly fall camp out
--back surgery before Thanksgiving
--shifter puked on the 96 Saturn (subsequently fixed later in summertime)
--daughter almost broke her neck racing her single-speed bike (slipped and hit her head on a curb, thank GOD for helmets) we were talking, just minutes before whether or not we should allow her to take her helmet off or not...
--driving south in I-75, missing the I-10 exit ramp. Twice.
--Political forces cause collapse of banks and kill housing values
--on & on we laughed to ourselves last night....
--the Chicago Cubs going nowhere in the playoffs yet again
--McCain
--Thompson
But yet, in all goofiness and challenges, we've drawn closer. Good thing, eh?
We're glad 2008 is OVER.
