I just bought a 90 Cheyenne C1500, (see post on the maintenance forum), and was wondering what weight oil to run in it? I was thinking something like a 10W30 Pennzoil, or maybe a store brand with prices being what they are.

Thanks, Dave

I would use a high mile oil .Usually HM oils are formulated toward the thicker range of 30 wt and can have higher levels of antiwear additives which is good.

I would vote for pennzoil 5w-30 winter, 10w-30 summer. Right now I am about to change my GMC with a 305 over to Castrol 5w-20 for the winter, but I drive lightly and don't tow.
