Factory Fill, Esso LT71141 30kmiles.

Blackstone comment: "For having seen 52,000 km of use this oil looks pretty good. Aluminum was the only wear metal out of line, which shows a little excess wear at the torque converter."

Factory fill?!?!?!?

I believe the Esso stuff is synthetic.. at least that's what I was told... I had an 06 Forenza and dumped it for something bigger. It was a good car, but I worried about the Auto Trans in that thing.. no dipstick. Only drain/fill bolts, so checking the level was quite difficult.

Remember its a transmission. Or are you being saracastic, surprised that anyone here uses the original oil for more than 12km?

Also keep in mind that GM specs this fluid as "Lifetime" ATF. They recommend changing at 60kmiles only on the severe service schedule.

I wanted to play on the safe side and do a partial replace at 50%. Seems I could go a little further next time, but GM sells the fluid cheap at 7$/L
