Automatic startup?

So most things in my apartment that I want to use when I get home have timers to start up. IS there a way to set a computer to start up a a set time?

On my Mac, I can set a "wake up" time in the Energy Saver in Systems Preferences.

If you go into your BIOS (hit F1, delete etc when the puter first starts up) there may be a timer option.

Barring that, there may be a "power failure recovery" option that you could combine with an external timer.
