Hi,
Pablo - You said:

"There is no wear."

We do not know if the 1.5 gals topup has been factored in to the UOA result. It is not mentioned in the Lab. report!

However, these engines wear well on almost any suitable lubricant!

The Amsoil 15/40 and the straight 30 are IMO the best oils Amsoil makes well proven over the years, no fancy hype they just plain work .

Typically the oil add is as follows..

2 qts for oil filter...
4 qts over 300 hours.....we have a guy who thinks the oil level needs to be right up to the top of the line...

Actually we used 2 gallons per 200 hours with dino and before I used the Auto RX...

Everything else is perfect.

A certain guy in the diesel forum seems to think Amsoil produces high Fe. Doubt he'll post here.

Possibly they got the sample mistaken for a virgin sample of AME at the lab...

Even if you factor in the large sump and the make up oil this uoa is comparable to my VW having a TWM "total wear metals" count of 33 ppm in 23400 miles. Thats wear of 1.4 ppm TWM per 1000 miles of use. You may die before the engine does.
