AVG FREE 8.0 (a/v)
SPYBOT
CCLEANER

and today I added Malware Bytes antimalware.

is this overkill?
if yes, what would you keep? what would you get rid of?

Ccleaner is fine for cleaning up registry.

Malwarebytes antimalware is an awsome antispyware program
Superantispyware is an awsome antispyware program

Personally I'd ditch AVG and use Antivir which is an free antivirus and uses less resources then AVG,and has a much higher detection rate as well.

Agreed! AVG is now becoming a bloatware suite. Avira and Avast are both better products IMHO.

I love Avira and use it myself. I also put it on other people's computers I work on.

I agree that some of those could be false positives or just that companies opinion that it is adware/spyware. This many times can happen on game downloads. Sometimes you have to decide for yourself.

I think your protection is not overkill.

Another good alternative to Ccleaner is Iobit Advanced Windowscare.
