NEW spark plug vs. regap/sharpen OLD plug

wn1998 - Don't assume spark plugs are OK right out of the box.
They may be, and they may be not.
Really, they should be checked and adjusted, even when new.
Also check for open circuits in the center electrode to the tip - you will occasionally get one broken internally [bad construction or it was dropped somewhere along the line].

I would be more concerned with the wires, cap and rotor. Most don't swap out new wires until there is a problem. I swap out my wires every 2-3 years.

My SRT-4 had a nasty miss at higher load/RPM with only 30k on the car. I tried the spark plugs first. It ended up being a wire.
