What oil for Hyosung Alpha Sports GV250 ?

Hi Guys,

A buddy of mine just bought a Hyosung GV250.
It was oil change time and he bought some 10w40 Castrol Syntec
on sale. However, since he did the change we have noticed some valve noise. He also says the bike feels like it has a dead spot about 5k rpm. What do you guys think would be good for this bike.
I was thinking Rotella 15w40 or Delo?
Maybe 5w40 Rotella Synthetic ?
I think this bike uses a wet clutch.

That is a water cooled bike, no? if so, I would go with the 5w-40

The castrol didn't cause any problems, Rotella or whatever would be fine.

Flatspot? probably just lean emissions jetting. Live with it and enjoy the mpg, or shim the needle and/or reset the idle mixture screw.
