Hi All. I have several bottles of SI-1 left over from when I had the 95 LeSabre. I found that it worked very well in that 3.8 engine. I now have a 2007 Nissan Versa and am wondering if this product is safe to use. Nissan recommends that you do not add fuel treatment (like injector cleaner)since it may harm the injector seals????? I have not heard of SI-1 causing damage to injectors and was wondering what the general consensus of the gang was.

Cheers,

Bry

Use it, great stuff and safe using the maintenance dose at every fill up if you wanted to. Me personally, I just use a top tier gas and dump a full bottle every oil change or so.

Doesn't one bottle only treat 10 gallons of fuel? So depending on tank size, you might need two to three bottles of this?

Lakerguy,

One measuring unit on the bottle treats 10 gal as a maintenance dose. A full bottle in a full tank is recommended for a "shock cleaning" i.e. really dirty injectors.
