Non Synthetic GL4 Gear Oils

With 50/50 blend of MTL and MT-90 I could go from 2nd gear to 5th if I was redlining it and 3rd to 5th as well. With this Walmart GL-5 semi-synthetic gear lube when I try to skip a gear it almost grinds you can tell the syncros are not fully synch-ing. If I shift fast it also shifts a bit rough I hate haveing to sloe my shifts down to the speed I would shift at in an 13 speed big rig!

JB, I think you have found as many others have, including myself, that a manual trans fluid (MTF) works best in a MT. It has the correct additives and friction coefficient to work well with the synchronizers. I have had vastly improved shifting when using Redline and now Amsoil's MTF's over engine oils, ATF's and GL5 gear oils.
