Looking at the kauri-butanol solvency value of methyl ester (biodiesel) at about 58 compared to regular diesel or kerosene at about 35 shows that biodiesel is about twice as solvent. Here's at least one company which sells pure methyl ester biodiesel 'SSI Bio-Solvent';

...but I was wondering if any have here have used similar as a crankcase, differential or other equipment flush.

Their was a guy on here a few years ago that did that but I can not recall his name. It would be pointless to search either since the search function stinks now!

I have said for years to use Bio for a flush IMHO better than solvent types and much cheaper
