Your frankenblend oil worked better than the CJ-4...you should be in product development! If only you would have had some heavy towing in the OCI as well it would have been quite interesting.

Any idea about the elevated Fe?? All the numbers seem elevated as far as that goes...

I have better numbers with Rotella CJ-4 15w40...hope I'm not making a mistake going to Schaeffers...I'll be getting my 9000 5w40 order in under a week...

I think Salerep bought that truck used, Steve and sent a uoa in early after he got it. His uoa's are coming back down to normal...they were a little unsettling a short time ago, If I am not mistaken.

I'd say they are unsettling...especially when you're committed to 6-gallons of the 9000!

I've got really low wear numbers compared to that (even towing). Hopefully I can continue the trend, even with a change in oil.

How is 25 iron and 5 lead on a 11k/40% towing uoa unsettling? Particularly considering where these uoa's started. If anything I'd say this sample is proving the additive package strength of this oil.

Considering I have a UOA showing similar numbers, towing the same weight/miles with CJ-4 Rotella (conventional), its not particularly comforting to me since I just bought 6 gallons of S9000.

I would have expected better than a conventional oil, but that's just me.

I think judging S9000 based on these UOA's is a injustice.

Show me 3 or 4 UOA's that are consistent with the same oil, and in a engine that has a history trend for comparison. I would be leery of what the effect is due to changing types and the addition of additives.

5100 mile drain. Shortened due to an oil pan issue. 1 qt of 9000 and 1 pint of 132 about half way. 1 qt. of Kendall 50w at about 4k.
I’d say this engine is coming along nicely.
