Synthetic oil for Yamaha Royal Star Venture?

My friend has a 2003 Yamaha Royal Star Venture with 50000 miles, only using dino. He wants to go to a synthetic.

What is a good choice based on UOA's and experience? Thanks.

Amsoil,Mobil 1,Royal Purple,Shaffers,Red line,All make good m.c. oil.

plus rotella 5w40, 15w40, chevron delo 15w40, mobil delvac 15w40, M1 15w50, castrol gtx 10w40, 20w50, havoline 20w50 etc...

My Yamaha Roadstar does great with Amsoil 10W-40 Motorcycle oil. All the others would be good second choices.
