I have a flexfuel van that can run E-85. Right now, it is 75 cents cheaper than 87 octane. I know that E85 burns faster, but I'm not sure how what rate. (?) At 75 cents less per gallon, is this a bargain?
Probably doesn't "hurt" as much at the pump when you fill it up, but at that price you will probably break even overall. The exact amount of fuel economy you will lose with alcohol is specific to your vehicle, but seems to vary by 10-25%.
