Hi, I'm new here BTW:) I have a question, I have some high concentrated fuel injector cleaner called CD-2 Stewart/Warner Alemite. I tried every search even google and couldn't come up with anything about this stuff. I want to know if anyone has used it and if it's quality. I don't want any assumptions about this stuff so if you've never used it, don't post. Thanks

I can tell you this - you bought some pretty old stock.

CD-2 has not been a Stewart/Warner Alemite brand since 1998. It's now a Turtle Wax brand:

Alemite is an old-time lubrication equipment outfit:

which was part of Stewart circa 1912 (Stewart made the Model T speedometers), which in turn was bought in the 1980s by British Tire & Rubber (BTR) who, in the early 1990s, relocated Stewart to Juarez, Mexico. Then another investment group acquired the assets of Stewart Warner from BTR and split off from sister companies Hobbs and Alemite.

So, your CD-2 is from the early to mid-1990s.

Is it still useable??? Does it ever expire?? I have used it a few times....didn't seem to hurt anything, so far

Thanks for that data, it was pretty much what i was looking for.

I can't imagine it's going to blow anything up.

The best fuel injector I've used is the Chevron Techron, which seems to do a very good job with gunk that can be dissolved.

Thanks for answering all my questions promptly:) I hear techron is the best stuff there is for fuel sytem cleaning and want not. I guess i'll use up the rest of the cd2.
