Stopping in at Wallyworld earlier today, I noticed that Supertech has a very clone-ish looking High Mileage offering that competed for my attention. I walked in with the intent of picking up some MaxLife 10W30 HM (which I did), but the ST offering at 3/4 the cost of the MaxLife got me to wondering if it's the same thing.

Does anyone have the skinny on the Supertech offering in regard to the add-pack? I don't mind saving money, but want to be assured that the bonus capability of the MaxLife HM aren't lost if I potentially exchange it for the clone.

This is for use in a B&S 5HP Quantum powered lawnmower that hasn't been used for about 5 years.

Supertech and Maxlife are totally different.
By that I mean they both have different formulas, and labs.

SuperTech HM likely a decent product with better basestocks and higher add levels (with seal conditioner) than regular SuperTech. Time for a VOA and some UOA's. Until proven, I would do the same as you did and stick with the ML, a product proven by myself and others.
