The comp is a dell "dumbension" 2400.Doesn't it already come with the drivers for this? So if i do need and d/l the drivers, then will it allow me to do adjustments? Also, how can i get the comp to go straight to desktop without having to log in with a password? I'm the only one that uses this comp at home.

Which version of Windows is it? For XP Pro you can go to the Run prompt (hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press R) and type in control userpasswords2. You will see a checkbox for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Uncheck that, click OK, and enter the appropriate password (if any) in the box that pops up.

I don't know if this is accessible on XP Home.
