GM uses Mobil Delvac 1300 Super?

Don't know if many people know that GM has chosen CJ-4 Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40 to offer to their dealer network.

Mobil is running a $3/gal rebate now as well through the end of April - max of 12 jugs. Mobil Delvac's website has the details.

GM has made Mobil1 available through their Service Parts Operations network, shipped from local Mobil distributors in bottles or bulk, for many years. I believe since they started doing this when they started recommending Mobil1 for various Corvette applications? GM part numbers and all.

GM still has their GMGoodwrench oils and such in that same network. Oils/lubes/chemicals built "to GM spec" by various vendors (to determine if they were just repackaged products of the same vendors would be highly speculative and expensive to determine chemically, I suspect). Similar to products branded by Ford, Chrysler LLC, etc. at the OEM level.

My boss scored a deal on GM 15w40, and the jugs look identical to some of our Mobil 15w40.
