What is the "VW" Longlife III oil you ran on your most recent changes? [Edit: You must mean the dealer Castrol 504/507...]

Impressive Fe numbers. Are you only going to run a 6k max OCI, or will you adjust with these numbers showing all's well?

Not sure what to do with the DRF info - what are "good" numbers (though I presume what you've got there is at least "very good"!!)?

The oil is slightly different than Castrol Powerflow SLX III.

Its bottled for VW part # G052195M2

VW LongLife III. If you order it from Impex you will get the new bottles not the VW bottles.

I ran the oil to 7000 miles and I will test the next OC at 160 hours apx 6500 miles. I may switch to Total 504/507 as I am close to finding a local supplier.

The DRF is good at 2.5 to 1 the explanation is at the club in my UOA thread - link in sig

I did a VOA of this oil and it has a Al count of 3 - this is a good UOA for Castrol. The next UOA for this engine same oil will be at 7k. I am trying to buy Total Quartz Ineo 504/507 for the next fill. I will test it at 8k since these oils are virtually identical.

Your oil looks good as usual. From what I have read the Elf/Total 507 has slightly better additive package than the VAG/Castrol 507. As you know I will have a UOA for this soon. I have 10,500 miles on this UOA. This is my first batch of 507. I am anxious to see what the 2nd batch will look like, especially since I got my failing EGR fixed (er... cough blocked off).
