I bought a stop leak product for my 92 Spirit and noticed on the back label it said it contains "Petroleum oil and additives". Curious, I emailed the company to see what additives it has, and their response was:

" No Leak is not meant to be a total Motor Oil Replacement & lacks some of the detergent dispersant found in fully formulated Motor Oils.

The Base stock is highly refined Oil and the Seal conditioners do contain an antiwear, synthetic Sulfate ester, as a part of the conditioners

I hope that this is helpful
Best Regards"
