oil filter filtration

You should not only base your purchase on microns, but a middle ground of micron grabbing results with flow not hindered too much. Amsoil has the best filter out there now for both the reasons I stated.

one might consider that all of the above will let up to 300u pass the paper media as water in the engine swells the media. stuff the maufacturers not going to tell you.
 
If there is water in the engine swelling anything you have a bigger problem than filter filtration.

If the media swells wouldn't the passages in the media become smaller? Wouldn't the media be treated ?
