I've read Spicer's fuel additive test over a thedieselplace.com have decided that HFRR test results are very importmant to me in deciding on a diesel

It is extremely difficult to correlate the HFRR and SLBOCLE tests to individual component wear rates, primarily because it is extremely difficult to test individual component wear rates properly.

I've been using the Stanadyne cetane boost + lube + gel point reducer, which didn't fare well in that test, so I spiked it with some Stanadyne lube which did ok. The combination made for a quieter running engine, less ticks and clicks, so'll continue using the combination until I find something else. I'll stay with a demulsifier, and will maybe try just a lube and gel point reducer.

If lubricity is all you want, run 2% (or greater) biodiesel. If you're after antigel and lubricity, use 2%-5% biodiesel with an antigel additive like Stanadyne, Schaeffer's, Power Service.
