let's discuss gun lubes in detail

Yes, G-96 is supposed to be a CLP (Cleaner Lubricative Protector) but I used it mainly for cleaning my gun. It did a good job of cleaning and then I would use a gun oil like Hoppes. I was not impressed with G-96 as a gun lube.

I have used Rem Oil ( to spary liberally for dirt and let drain and dry), Hoppes gun oil, hopped cleaning oil for years and NEVER an issues with locking up, etc etc etc etc etc.. i like rem oil alot. it cleans fairly well if sprayed liberally into the working mechanisms. i deff do this when i get sand in it
