I was thinking of running Shell Rotella 5w40 synthetic in a Honda GX160 5.5hp powering a pressure washer. Any one try it?

I've had it in my GC160 for a few years without issue. IMO, this oil (or any HDEO for that matter) will do very well in any OPE application, hot, cold, commercial, etc.

It'll work, but why the 40? These engines need nothing more than SAE 30 at full hot temp. I like a good synthetic HDEO SAE 30. I'll bet dollars to donuts my wear is lower than ANY 5W-40.

Very true Pablo. I've been going the Shell R-T 5w-40 route based on it's low cost and ease of availability. For what ever reason, an off the shelf 30wt HDEO is a hard find in my area.
