Two big questions: What is in there now? How much is in there? The noise returning when going up hill makes me wonder: Is that noise due to the engine working harder, or due to oil starvation at the front half of the engine?

If the owners manual wants everybody in the world to use 5w-30, except for those of us in the Northern half of North America...why do you think 0w-20 protects just as well? If it were my car, I would run 5w-30. Of course I'm the guy that runs 0w-

Boots on the ground have always been a significant expense throughout the history of warfare, but my response (to AL's statement) was to the fact that vets require so much aftercare these days, making them expensive relative to what they used to be.
