Yeah, but most shops will just raise the car and let it drain without touching filter or fill cap. Than after do the rest so that they don't need to raise the car twice. It's quicker that way.

What is your MAP sensor voltage at a hot idle? Also, what is the fuel trim information at idle and at 2500 rpm? The rich codes and the random misfire, combined with the van's mileage, makes me suspect that you need to do a valve clearance adjustment
