My Corolla was recalled as part of original recall. Here's a rundown: My car gets recalled. They are inspecting all recalled cars but only replacing parts if the inspection indicates the need. They said my car was fine. My car get recalled again

I wouldn't worry too much about the oil - use a good name-brand full synthetic every 5k and you'll be fine. The valve covers are a pretty unpleasant job on the 1MZ. I did one of these recently for the first time with someone and it took us almost 7

Sam's has the Chevron Supreme for $31.28/case which is decent. Last year I bought two cases of it for like $22/case, which made it a solid deal. Running it in the Chrysler right now.

RP HPS 10w40 starts out at 13.6 cSt @100C, and this sample sheared down to 11.44 cSt. That's about 16%, and is well into being a 30-weight. I've seen other samples of RP that sheared a lot, but some that didn't. Since RP doesn't publish HTHS value

The newer Hondas must have changed. In my 04 the wix and OEM literally look identical. I use napa gold and they fit perfectly. Same for my mom's 08 accord.
