Mostly flat but I have taken it into the Sierras, to Reno, Nv and into Utah. It will downshift to get the RPMs up for better torque. Since I'm not a speeder it doesn't bother me, just stay in the right lane. If you are used to 6 cyl vehicles, probabl

Is it discrimination to describe the 'person' as Caucasion'? As a matter of point perhaps describing the 'person' as 'male' is also somewhat discrimatory. After all it might have been a transgender 'person' wearing a mask? I hope that you appreciate

Blueovalfitter, are there certain filters that you need? How about a list of what is useful, in case some of us run across filters we can't use but are on sale. What models of car, or filter numbers do you need?

Yep, I averaged 17.5 MPG the other day with my pickup doing about 90. I'd like to see a 1990 half ton do that, heck going 90 would be an adventure! I went from a 14-15 mpg truck with 190hp and 2wd, to a 16-17 MPG truck with 305hp and 4wd.

That's because cars today, even smaller vehicles, are bloated pigs filled with nanny safety gear, and all manner of excessive electronics. I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to buy one of these bloated pigs if you want, but where are the choices

The upper radiator hose is usually the first to go, which means it is either the OLDEST OR THE NEWEST hose depending on the point in the life cycle. Also consider replacing the hose clamps, the T-STAT, and using hylomar paste or form a gasket around

high mileage to me is any vehicle that has over 13,300 miles for each year it has been on the road.(off a 3 year lease it can't have more than 40,000 total) I will only buy a car that has less than that amount. Then I will drive it out to 200,000 a

Some hoses can last a long time. If you are changing the original rad on a car that old, then might as well change the hoses. I bet your next rad won't last as long as the original (based on my own experience).

Aftermarket hoses don't last like OEM hoses. Even if they're made by Gates or Dayco. Buy a Ford hose (made by gates) and compare it to a Gates hose from O'Reilly. The Ford hose is twice as heavy/thick walled.
