Looks excellent. A Motorcraft filter and MC SynBlend 5w20 been a solid combination for a long time. MC SynBlend 5w20 used to be the best value 5w20 starting in the early 2000's. Now though, lots of competition and not the value oil it once was. Still

A college classmate purchased an S-10 that same year. Had terrible paint issues. I think a lot of them that year had issues with the clear coat.

Can you check the vertical glue joint in the pleat and see if there are any leaks?

I would call that an ISO 22 hydraulic oil. At least Red Line had enough sense to refrain from putting SAE in front of a wild-cat grade. My scheme?

If thatís the Ford truck it probably has a auxiliary cooler from the factory, 160-170 is claimed to be the optimal operating temp for automatic transmissions. Running them too cold isnít good for them either.

Unless I find a super bargain (like $1/qt Kendall syn-blend) I get 5-7k per OCI (adding 1/2-1 qt per 4-5k miles) from whatever synthetic 5w-30 is on sale and had done so for 275k miles in 2 Nissan Altimas, and the last 35k in the Kitacam.
